To celebrate our 1 year anniversary of owning The Drinkery, White Birch is crafting an Anniversary Ale!  It's still a couple of months away, but April 12th we will be celebrating our anniversary, our birthdays and the White Birch will be pouring - we can't think of a better way to spend that night!  

We've got Saphouse Meadery coming on Friday from 6:30-8:30pm, and we've got a bunch of new beers and wines in the shop!  Abby from Perfecta will be here on the 9th with some new wines as well!

As many of you know, we actively advertise in The Hippo magazine.  Every year, The Hippo puts out a "Best of" list - from boutiques to barbers - all things New Hampshire.

The Drinkery is hoping to make a splash this year, and would truly appreciate it if you could spend a few moments taking their 100 topic survey.  All valid entries require at least 20 topics to be filled in.  We're hoping for best beer store (#29) and/or wine shop (#71).  We're closing in on our one-year anniversary of owning the shop!

We are kicking off the new year with 99 bottles of beer on our wall!

This entire year we will be featuring 99 different beers from dozens of different breweries. We will be have beer tastings of whatever we’re featuring each Wednesday from 5-8pm, as well as discounts on the beer or beers we’re featuring.

The Drinkery Featured Beer

Up first is one of the most popular beers at The Drinkery – Atwater Vanilla Java Porter. Atwater is a brewery located in Michigan, and the Vanilla Java Porter is a dark beer loaded with vanilla, coffee and some sweet chocolate. Come on in Wednesdays in January from 5-8pm to taste this and other Atwater beers and take home a six pack for a great price!

In addition to our weekly tasting, we’re going to keep track of those who attend regularly- additional discounts and free beer for those who visit the most. While you're tasting some great beer, take a guess at how many bottle caps are in our "Big Ass Beer Glass" - Whoever is closest gets a $10 gift certificate at the end of the month!

New Beers

Shipyard Applehead will be available Thursday January 5th!  Applhead is Shipyard's latest creation, following in the footsteps of Pumpkinhead.  Applehead is rich in nutmeg and cinnamon spices with a light appley beginning and finish.  If you like Pumpkinhead, you're going to love Applehead.  I've already started playing with different mixed drink ideas including a shot of Apple Stoli or goldschlager if you want it sweet!

Expanded Holiday Hours:

We are excited to let you in on a great local event coming up December 3rd. A Holiday Open House, held December 3rd from 10am-4pm is an event where local shops and vendors will be displaying and selling great crafts and gifts. The event is located at 15 Fiddlehead Lane in Chester, NH. 
  
Saphouse Meadery will be joining us December 4th, 6:30-8:30pm.  Sheila will be pouring wine Saturday December 10th 6:30-8:30 and Grape Time Winery will be visiting us Saturday December 17th from 6:30-8:30pm.

We are taking orders for Gift baskets and beer/wine case orders for Christmas. Please don’t wait – 10% off 6 or more bottles of wine, 10% off pints and larger full-cases,  25% off a case of 12oz beer.

We are proud to have some photography by local photographer Mary Shiavoni of Mocking Bird Photo in our shop.  Mary has ventured around New England taking snapshots of unusual areas.  Work in shop is for sale, and additional prints/sizes are available!

Beer and Wine Case Discounts

We will be putting together a big beer and wine order *today*, so if you're looking for a case/price on something, please give us a shout (info@thedrinkeryshop.com) *before 3pm today* and we'll make it happen.  

Include your phone # and contact info so we can get you pricing.  This includes full case discounts on 24 12oz bottles, half-case discounts on > 12oz (6 big bottles) and case and 1/2 case (12/6 bottles) of wine.  If you read this a bit too late, don't worry, we'll be offering it again next week through Thanksgiving to make sure your tables are bountiful for the holiday :)

Mead and Wine Tastings

We have Ash coming on the 19th to sample some GREAT Saphouse Meadery meads - Cranberry Sage, Vanilla, Hopped Blueberry and of course their delicious Maple Sugar.

On black Friday (November 25), we've got Sheila coming in to pour our favorite wines.  We'll have some great holiday shopping specials, ready-to-go gift baskets and treats.  One thing we WON'T have is mall crowds.  So come on in after a hard day of shopping and enjoy some wine with us!

We’ve managed to secure a few extra cases of the best Pumpkin’s and fall seasonal beers but they ARE going fast!  If you’re looking for Pumpkinhead, Smashed Pumpkin or Harpoon UFO Pumpkin... we’re your place.  We will also be bringing in more Pumpkin wine – a huge hit... and would you believe we found a few extra cases of Smashed Blueberry?  Come get some – it won’t be back until the spring!

Smashed Blueberry is a hybrid between a Porter and a Scottish Ale.  This beer has a rich mouth feel and a body of complex intensity Upfront, there are notes of coffee and chocolate beautifully accentuated by the aroma of blueberries.  The finish features a delicate balance of sweet fruit and dry hops.  Also, it's damn good. :)

We've finally managed to get everyone's email addresses in order and get our first official newsletter out - sorry it took so long!  For those of you who we haven't yet met, we are the new owners of The Drinkery - Andy Day & Alana Wentworth.  We're just about to finish our first FULL month in The Drinkery, and it's been absolutely incredible.

We are making June our "Official Grand Re-Opening" month, and kicking it off with "Pink and White, It's Ladies Night", Saturday June 4th from 6-9pm.  We will have Sheila here from F&F Imports pouring some beautiful wines, INCLUDING our Billecart-Salmon Brut Rose.  J Drizzle Popcorn is co-hosting and will be sampling their amazing gourmet popcorn - we can barely keep it on the shelf.  Jewlery  and wine raffles are just some of the other great things happening that night!  Pink attire is requested but by no means required!

Sneak Peaks into June - The Drinkery's (official) Grand Re-Opening month-long celebration.  It was only a short month ago we took over The Drinkery and while we've remained open, we wanted to do it up right!  Keep an eye out for lots of fun over the month of June!

We have been getting a lot of calls and inquiries about whether The Drinkery provides kegs, and we're pleased to say that we do!

We also sampled, and brought in a brand new popcorn line - J Drizzle Popcorn, out of Chester.  We have 12 varietys from salty to spicey to sweet (and would you believe sweet AND spicey?) ... J Drizzle does an amazing job, and their popcorn is fantastic.
